DISCOVER ISLAM WEEK IS BACK!

Discover Islam Week is an annual event held by university Islamic societies around the UK, providing an opportunity for fellow students, staff members on campus and members of the public to find

out more about the religion of Islam.

From the 5th – 9th March, Newcastle University Isoc will hold their ‘Discover Islam Week’. It is our biggest event, filled with exciting activities and presentations that are dedicated to raising awareness about Islam and a chance to build relations with Muslims and non-Muslims.

Previous years have attested to just how successful this has been in achieving our objectives, which has helped continue dialogue and discussion with other and non-faith groups, such as participating in interfaith events organised by the Newcastle University Chaplaincy.

We hope you will join us at the Discover Islam Marquee outside the Student Union to give yourself a chance to find out more about Islam, Muslims and any burning question you might have. There will also be a quiz every day as well as refreshments, Islamic food and the opportunity to have your name painted beautifully in Arabic calligraphy.
